Grand Theft Auto VI, Highly Anticipated Return to Vice City
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of the development studio Rockstar Games, has officially scheduled the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) for release in fall 2025.
Growing Expectations
In its financial report for the fourth quarter of 2024, Take-Two Interactive announced that “We have narrowed the previously announced release window from 2025 to fall 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI”, as stated by Strauss Zelnick, the multinational’s President and CEO. He added: “We are extremely confident that Rockstar Games will provide an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to grow.”
A Decidedly Modern Backdrop
The sixth main installment in this open-world series will have Leonida as its backdrop, the equivalent of Florida in Rockstar’s universe. However, most of the action will take place in Vice City, the equivalent of Miami in the game’s fictional world.
In contrast to the 2002 game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which captivated its audience with its 80s aesthetic clichés, this new episode will be set in a decidedly modern environment.
New Protagonists to Discover
Jason and Lucia will be the new protagonists that players will have the opportunity to discover by watching the game’s trailer. This new adventure promises to offer numerous surprises and hours of mind-blowing entertainment to eager fans of the Grand Theft Auto series.
